Commissioners question proposed slashing of 76% of parks and recreation budget

Proposed levy up 11.4 percent from last year

The Maplewood City Council went as high as it could go in setting a maximum preliminary property-tax levy for the 2007 budget prior to the Sept. 15 deadline to submit the information to the Ramsey County auditor.
