The Hamline American Legion Post 418 Purple Hawks visited North St. Paul June 22 for an 8 p.m. baseball contest under the arcs.

In the end, Purple Hawks' pitcher Matt Biagini outlasted the 39ers' Rob Deutsch in the close 2-1 contest.

North St. Paul roads to be shut down during construction

Due to concerns about electrical utilities near First Street and Seventh Avenue, North St. Paul will be shutting down an area near those streets when road construction starts in July.
