St. Peter Catholic Wins CAA Fast Pitch Championship

On May 26 at Pioneer Park, the St. Peter's girls 7-8th grade softball team defeated the St. John team to win the Catholic Athletic Association championship. The girls won the CAA national league with an 8-1 record. The team was coached by Steve Tanzer and Mark Franco.

Rosetown ends 39ers win streak at five

The North St. Paul American Legion Post 39 baseball nine started their 2010 season with five wins right out of the gate.

Their undefeated season came to end when the Rosetown Post 542 Rockets visited the 39ers' Kuenkel Field June 16.

Memorial Service for Victor Stone June 27

Victor Stone, age 98, went to his heavenly home April 5. He was born in Texas and joined the US Army at Fort Sam Houston, Texas in 1934. He was stationed at Fort Snelling in 1940 and chose to make Minnesota his home in 1945, after serving for 19 months in the European War Area.

The 35th season of Shakespeare & Company, Minnesota's longest running outdoor classical repertory theatre, begins June 26 at Century College and runs through Aug. 1. This year's productions are A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet and Measure for Measure.
