Quilts of Comfort donated to St. Croix Valley Red Cross
Sally Wacker of Lake Elmo recently delivered an amazing gift to the St. Croix Valley Red Cross in Bayport. Sally and her quilters of Christ Lutheran Church in Lake Elmo created beautiful quilts that they donated to the Red Cross victims of local disasters. Our Red Cross volunteers who respond to local fires and other emergencies will be able to present Quilts of Comfort to people who are recent victims of a fire, flood or severe storm in the greater St. Croix Valley.

BRT not LRT for Gateway Corridor - (Oakdale edition)

Bus rapid transit will be the main focus moving forward for the Gateway Corridor -- it was picked as the preferred transit mode by the corridor’s Policy Advisory Committee. BRT would operate in its own dedicated roadway, similar to the Orange Line in Los Angeles pictured here. (submitted photo)

Move over light rail, bus rapid transit will be the focus from now on for the Gateway Corridor.
