Pizza & Gardening

Urban Roots workers teamed up with the Dayton’s Bluff Community Council to fix up the Dayton’s Bluff Children’s Garden. The group worked on Saturday, April 18 to build soil beds for the plot, which is located at the corner of East Third Street and Maria Avenue.

Another event was scheduled at the plot on Saturday, April 25, with a plan to build a fence for the plot.

Urban Roots, an East Side based food and environmental organization providing East Side teens with experience working outdoors, will use the garden for programming this summer.

The garden will also double as a youth farmer’s market.
