Microsoft Word

On Monday, Feb. 27, learn the basic features of Microsoft Word, a word processing program. Create a document using many of the software features. Learn to format, set margins and save your document. There is a prerequisite of computer basics class and/or ability to use the mouse. Registration is required. Dance Together

Use movement to explore imagination, stories and music in this class where caregivers and children dance together on Thursday, March 2 from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Presented by Young Dance. Legal assistance of Dakota County

Receive a free 30-minute consultation from a volunteer attorney on Wednesday, March 1 regarding Family Law matters, such as divorce, child custody, child support, visitation, paternity issues, spousal maintenance and domestic abuse. This clinic is a joint program of Legal Assistance of Dakota County, the Dakota County Family Court and the Dakota County Law Library. Call 651-438-8102 to schedule an appointment. Inver Glen Book Club

Rube Goldberg Marble Machine

On Saturday, March 4, design and make your own marble machine using a variety of tubes, paper, tape, glue, wire and other unusual scraps-add marbles and watch them roll. Presented by ArtStart. Registration required for this event at the West St. Paul Library, 199 Wentworth Ave. E. It is open to kids ages 8 to 12. Registration required for each child. Please arrive at least 5 minutes early. Twin Cities Recorder Guild Concert

Twin Cities Recorder Guild presents its annual “Play the Recorder Day” concert on Saturday, March 4 from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Enjoy hearing an ensemble of recorders play music from the Renaissance to contemporary periods. Co-sponsored by the Friends of the Wentworth Library, the concert will take place at the West St. Paul Library, 199 Wentworth Ave. E.

On March 7, enjoy photos from a long-planned hiking and camping trip to America’s masterpiece: the Grand Canyon. The presenter today is longtime Dodge Nature Center volunteer, Barry Shillingford. Barry is an avid traveler with many stories to share. Never been to the Grand Canyon? This program may have you planning a trip. Taking place at Dodge Nature Center Farm Education Entrance 3, 1701 Charlton St., West St. Paul, the program runs from 11 a.m., to noon and lunch from noon to 1 p.m. Registration required by Friday, March 3.
