Arden Hills names new City Administrator

Dave Perrault

Dave Perrault of West St. Paul has been hired as the new city administrator of Arden Hills. His role will become effective Jan. 1.

Perrault graduated from the University of Wisconsin and joined the U.S. Navy. He then worked as a budget analyst for the State of Minnesota, before joining the City of Arden Hills as a finance analyst. He holds master’s degrees in business administration and public administration from Hamline University.

“Working in local government is rewarding, because I can see how the work I do on a daily basis affects the residents,” Perrault said. “Arden Hills is an exciting opportunity with the Rice Creek Commons development on the horizon and the mix of commercial and residential interests.”

Under Perrault’s leadership, The City of Arden Hills was honored for financial performance at the Local Leaders in Government Luncheon on Sept. 13. The award was in recognition of the city’s excellence in financial accounting; promoting transparency throughout the organization; and providing the best quality customer service to its residents, Councilmembers and other organizations. The City of Arden Hills has consecutively won three annual awards — for budgeting, financial reporting, and transparency — for many years from the Government Finance Officers Association
