LETTER: Bull: ‘I ask for your vote’

To the Editor:

I’m Jim Bull and I want you to know why I’m running for the Roseville City Council. This is something I’ve thought about doing for a while. Coming into the weekend before the filing deadline, we had two seats to be filed for, with one incumbent running for mayor, and the other not yet filed.

I felt we need good decision-makers on the council, so why wouldn’t I continue to serve our community, step up, and file for the election? I’m confident I can perform well based on my professional career and positions with other community organizations and commissions. In my fourth year on the Planning Commission, I’ve learned a lot about land use and city zoning ordinances. And we have had our share of discussion on the existing planned unit developments.

Over the past two years, the Planning Commission has worked with consultants, city staff and engaged the residents to provide a significant update that is now our Roseville 2040 Comprehensive Plan. Being on the city council means I can use my professional skills and Planning Commission knowledge to increase my service to the community. Serving on the city council will allow me to help execute the guidance in the comprehensive plan and the day-to-day decision needs for our community.

I ask for your vote to represent you on the Roseville City Council. Find out more at www.JimBullForRoseville.com or contact me at jimbullforroseville@gmail.com.
