Oakdale - Lake Elmo Review Police reports August 7th, 2019


Stolen shipping container

An empty shipping container was stolen from a work site in the 1900 block of Radatz Avenue East sometime between June 30 and July 4. There are no suspects.


Overnight DWI

A 28-year-old man was stopped for driving while intoxicated on Interstate 35E at Roselawn Avenue East around 2 a.m. on July 21. His BAC was .17. The legal limit is .08.


iPad stolen from motel

A report of a stolen iPad from the Northernaire Motel was called in around 7:30 a.m. on July 22.


Violating HRO

A woman in St. Cloud reported her 48-year-old ex-boyfriend in Maplewood was continually violating his harassment restraining order via text. She made the report around 8:30 a.m. on July 22. 


Shoe theft

A man was given shoes to try on at a Maplewood Mall store when he left the store wearing the shoes without paying. The incident occurred just before 5 p.m. on July 22. 


Kohl’s theft

A 35-year-old shoplifter fled after taking wireless earbuds at the Kohl’s on White Bear Avenue on July 22 just after 6 p.m. He was cited and released for misdemeanor theft.


Menards theft

A woman attempted to walk out with merchandise in a shopping cart at the Menards located in the 2200 block of  Maplewood Drive N. A store employee stopped her. The incident occurred on July 22 just before 6:30 p.m.


Mother tests positive for drugs

A hold was placed on an infant after a mother’s drug screen tested positive around 6:30 p.m. on July 22. 


Reported neighborhood stabbing

A mother claimed her son was stabbed with a knife by the neighbor’s son in the 2000 block of Van Dyke Street North. The call was placed around 7:30 p.m. on July 22. 


Knife at the mall

A man brandished a knife and was charged with aggravated assault at the Maplewood Mall just before 8 p.m. on July 22.


Domestic assault

A disorderly conduct call involving verbal domestic violence between a husband and wife was placed at 11:40 a.m. on July 23. 


Garage burglary attempt

A burglary attempt was made in the 1000 block of Mesabi Avenue East in the weeks prior to the resident calling officers just after 3 p.m. on July 24. The door handle to the garage was broken but no entry occurred.


Payment refusal

On July 24 at around 9:45 p.m., a notice of trespass was given to a customer who refused to pay for a meal. 


Sign hits car

A construction sign blew over and struck a parked vehicle in the 2000 block of Minnehaha Avenue East around 1:30 p.m. on July 25. 


Shoplifter at Cub Foods

Police were dispatched to the Cub Foods in the 100 block of County Road B West for a 38-year-old woman who had been previously trespassed and is a known shoplifter. The incident occurred on July 25 just before 8 p.m.


2-person argument

A caller reported a man and woman screaming in the hallway at apartments in the 300 block of Larpenteur Avenue East on July 27 at 9:30 a.m. 


Fake money transaction

A Holiday employee in the 200 block of McKnight Road South reported children unknowingly attempted to use a fake $10 bill in the store. The bill was logged. The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on July 27.


Disorderly conduct

A caller reported she was collecting things from her estranged husband’s residence and reported disorderly conduct in the 2000 block of Elkhart Lane around 8:30 p.m. on July 27. 




Lake Elmo 

Fire alarm

The fire department received a false fire alarm report on July 21 from Irving Court North around 6:30 p.m.


Medical alarm

A medical alarm on July 22 in the 9000 block Of Tapestry Road was cleared around 8:45 p.m.


Vehicle accident

A vehicle accident with injuries was reported in the 11000 block of Stillwater Boulevard North just before 7 a.m. on July 23. 



A fire was reported in the 3000 block of Klondike Avenue North on July 23 around 3:30 p.m. 


Difficulty breathing

An individual had difficulty breathing in the 8000 block of Hudson Boulevard North just before 6 p.m. on July 24. Another report of difficulty breathing occurred around 7 a.m. in the 5000 block of Marquess Trail Court North on July 26. 


Back pain

Officials responded to a report of non-traumatic back pain in the 11000 block of 24th Street North at 9:40 a.m. on July 26.


Diabetic emergency

A diabetic call prompted emergency responders to go to the 9000 block of 60th Street North around 9:50 a.m. on July 26. 


Electrical hazard

Lake Elmo Fire responded to an electrical hazard in the 5000 block of Isle Avenue North just before 9 p.m. on July 26. 


North St. Paul

Tree hits house

A tree fell on a house July 15 in the 2000 block of 16th Avenue East after a thunderstorm. Police responded to the call around 6 p.m.


Fallen tree

A tree was down at the intersection of 18th Avenue and Margaret Street on July 20. North St. Paul Public Works responded to the scene and took control around 10:30 a.m.


Library graffiti

Graffiti at the Ramsey County Library in the 2300 block of North St. Paul Drive was reported July 19 around 8 a.m.


Park damage

Cleaning staff at Casey Lake Park reported bathroom damage, including tampering with electric locks, on July 16 around 8 p.m. There are no suspects.
