Vehicle accident

On Aug. 9 around 1:30 p.m. officers responded to the intersection of 17th Avenue and Helen Street for an accident with injuries. Two cars were towed and an adult female was transported to a local hospital.


Car break-ins

On Aug. 9 just after 2 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Cowern Place on a report of juveniles going through vehicles. Upon arrival, officers spent about 30 minutes patrolling the area looking for suspects but did not locate any.


Daycare graffitti 

For the second time in two weeks, illegible spray-painted graffiti made its way onto the outside walls of a child care building in the 2000 block of 11th Avenue as reported Aug. 6. The graffiti has since been cleared.



Knife threat

A man reported he was threatened with a knife on his way to work by his neighbor on Aug. 5 around 5 p.m. A juvenile was arrested for disorderly conduct. The threat occurred in the 3000 block of Southlawn Drive.


Domestic argument

Police responded to a rolling verbal argument on Larpenteur Avenue East on Aug. 4 around 9 a.m. Police then arrested one man for several traffic violations, including driving uninsured and driving without a valid license. 


Apartment robbery

Someone took a wallet from an apartment in the 2500 block of Ivy Avenue East as reported around 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 4. Police have no information on a suspect. 


Unknown vehicle

An unknown car was reported in a private garage in the 2300 block of Larpenteur Avenue East around 1 a.m. Aug. 5. The complainant said two men were reported around the garage and vehicle that night.


Car theft

A vehicle was stolen in the 1800 block of Dieter Street North. The theft was reported around 7:30 a.m. Aug. 5.


Death investigation

Police are investigating a death in the 200 block of Century Avenue North, reported around 9:45 a.m. Aug. 5.


Stolen car

A woman reported her vehicle was stolen by her ex-husband from the 2000 block of Bradley Street North on Aug. 5 around 10:30 a.m. Police say the woman said she was pushed by the man before he took her car keys and drove off with the car.


Small fire

A shorted-out battery likely caused a fire in a cardboard box in the 2800 block of White Bear Avenue North on Aug. 6 around 6 p.m. An employee tossed the box into a garbage can to put out the fire.


Drunk driver

A driver forfeited their vehicle after officers stopped the person for littering on White Bear Avenue North on Aug. 6 just after 11 p.m. The driver was arrested for felony DWI.

Neighbor dispute

A neighbor dispute was reported Aug. 4 just after noon in the Cimarron neighborhood.


Suspicious activity

A suspicious person was reported to police in the 3000 block of Lake Elmo Avenue North on Aug. 4 around 2:45 p.m. Another suspicious person was reported a day later on Aug. 5 at the intersection of Highway 36 and Demontreville Trail North around midnight.


Parking complaints

Two parking complaints were reported in the 1000 block of Keats Avenue North around 7 p.m. on Aug. 4. 


Small yard fire

Around 11:45 a.m. in the 9000 block of Ninth Street North on Aug. 5, a small grass fire was reported. Officials say the fire was already out upon their arrival. 


Car accident

At the intersection of Highway 36 and Lake Elmo Avenue North, an accident was reported around 4:45 p.m. on Aug. 5.


Shooting complaint

Shots were reportedly fired in the 1000 block of Keats Avenue North around 10:15 a.m. on Aug. 5.

Intoxicated person

On Aug. 5 just before 10:45 p.m., a drunk person was reported in the 8000 block of Stillwater Boulevard North.


Suspicious activity

In the 8000 block of Hill Trail North just before 5 p.m. on Aug. 6, a suspicious person was reported. Two other suspicious people were reported the following day around 1:30 p.m. on Jasmine Avenue Place North and at 10:30 p.m. in the 9000 block of 51st Street North.



Another suspicious person was reported on Aug. 8 in the 8000 block of Stillwater Boulevard North around 5:20 a.m. A final suspicious person was reported in the 10000 block of 57th Street North just before 7 p.m. on Aug. 9.


Stolen item

A theft was reported in the 1000 block of Keats Avenue North on Aug. 9 around 12:40 p.m.
