SNAPSHOTS: A walk in the ‘Park’

For the first time this year, Mounds View’s Festival in the Park parade took place on Friday night, preceding the bulk of the annual celebration on Saturday, Aug. 17. Organizer Theresa Cermak called the parade a small, “hometown” affair with representatives from the police department, Irondale High School and other community groups processioning through the heart of town. The Mounds View Police Department brought its rock wall to this year’s Saturday festivities, which were held in the festival’s new location at Silver View Park. Officers also hosted a K-9 demonstration with their two German shepherds, Niko and Grizz.
