Event helps stock families’ cupboards over holidays
Families gathered en masse at Oakdale Elementary School last week for a night of mirth before the Christmas holiday. The school held its first-ever Winter Break Bingo Thursday, Dec. 18, and nearly 300 kids and parents attended the event.

Superintendent Patty Phillips has announced she will be retiring from her position as the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale district's top administrator at the end of the school year after 10 years at the helm.

The North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District has three school board terms due to expire in January, currently held by Amy Coborn, Mark Wheeler and Michelle Yener.

The Hill-Murray boys hockey program has entered into a unique partnership with Ramsey County to build its own locker rooms at Aldrich Ice Arena.

A group of Tartan High School students are hard at work promoting a safe driving campaign that they hope will bring the school some national attention, as well as a sizeable grant.  But they need your help.

The general election is just four weeks away, and the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School Board has three board seats set to expire at year's end. Come Nov. 4, voters will have five candidates to choose from to fill those seats.

High school students at Tartan and North continue to enroll in free college courses through the University of Minnesota's College in the Schools program at a higher rate than most metro districts.
