A Gibbs' Pioneer Christmas



Head to the Gibbs Museum for an old-fashioned mid-1800s Minnesota Christmas Dec. 4 and 5.

Visit the summer kitchen to see how pioneer women prepared special foods for Christmas and tour the Gibbs home and the Victorian parlor where costumed guides reveal how Christmas practices changed over time.

Enjoy Christmas activities, including carols in the one-room schoolhouse and a bonfire with hot chocolate and Christmas treats. Visit the gift shop for old-time stocking stuffers.

Reservation times begin at 10 a.m. and are taken every 20 minutes; last tour begins at 2 p.m. It is a two-hour program. The Gibbs Museum of Pioneer and Dakotah Life is located at at 2097 W. Larpenteur Ave.
