'Big Rock in the Parking Lot' concert is July 28
RH Charter School offers public tours, prize giveaways
On Saturday, July 28, River Heights Charter School will host a free "Big Rock in the Parking Lot" concert as part of an open house and recruitment event for the entire community.

This free event, 1-4 p.m., features the rock group Dropping Daylight. The nationally known band will play selections from their recently released CD, "Brace Yourself," and also give away door prizes including signed posters, CDs and T-shirts. Winners must be present to win.

In addition to door prizes, there will be free henna tattoos, refreshments and tours of the school.

Throughout the summer, River Heights will hold weekly informational meetings for parents and students interested in project-based learning opportunities.

"River Heights students gain the maturity to think independently and achieve valuable life goals," says Jane Davin, the school's interim director. "Graduates of River Heights become respected members of their local and global communities."

River Heights Charter School, 60 E. Marie Ave., is located near the southwest corner of Robert Street and Marie Avenue in West St. Paul.

Call the school at 457-7427 or see www.riverheights charter.org for an informational meeting schedule.
