Letter: Ed Iago for WSP mayor
I was recently made aware that Ed Iago will be running for mayor of West St. Paul for the upcoming election. Over the past few years I've served on the West St. Paul's Charter Commission, the Area One Neighborhood Association, and I've watched or attended various City Council Meetings.

I have always been impressed with the way Ed conducts himself as a concerned citizen and as a member of the City Council. He is a very approachable person. Ed devotes a lot of his own free time to attend forums, meetings, open house events, and other neighborhood events (above and beyond his City Council responsibilities) so he can listen to residents and hear their concerns and ideas. You name the event and Ed is probably there.

Many of my friends and neighbors also comment on how they have found Ed to be a helpful and effective resource. Even though the job of mayor is only a part-time position, Ed is one of those leaders who goes the extra mile and works full time to make West St. Paul a better place to live.
