A local council says a Russian airstrike has destroyed a children’s hospital in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol.
Mariupol Council described the damage to the hospital as “huge” and said data on casualties were not yet available. Defender.
In a post on the Internet today, the city council said: “Russian occupation forces dropped some bombs on the children’s hospital.”
A picture posted on Twitter by Ukrainian journalist Nikka Melkosherova shows the abyss formed by the explosion of one of these bombs.
The report was not immediately available for comment.
President Volodymyr Zhelensky wrote on Twitter that there were children buried under the rubble after the maternity ward was destroyed by Russian bombs. It has again called for a no-fly zone over Ukraine.
