Sandwiched between two other Thanksgiving games, there’s a Texas-sized game between the Cowboys and Giants. The visiting Giants, on the strength of two huge interceptions, take a 13-7 lead at the break.
After a defensively dominated opening quarter, the Cowboys took a 7–3 lead on Ezekiel Elliott’s six-yard touchdown run five seconds into the second quarter. The Giants quickly regained the lead on a Saquon Barkley touchdown run from an out yard on New York’s next drive. The score was set up by Darius Slayton’s 44-yard jumper from two plays earlier.
The Cowboys looked poised to regain the lead late in the first half, but the Giants defense rallied after a Dak Prescott pass intended for Sir Lamb was intercepted by Julian Love. The selection was the second of the half for Prescott, who also threw two interceptions during Dallas’ Week 10 loss to Green Bay.
Led by Daniel Jones, the Giants took advantage of Love’s pick on a last-second 47-yard field goal by Graham Gano. Jones threw for 123 yards in the first half, while Prescott had 116 yards in the air. Receiver Slayton’s 58 yards led the Giants, while Michael Gallup had a career-high 63 yards on five catches. Elliott enjoyed a strong first half with 61 yards and his score on seven carries.
