Diplomatic opposition to Russia, Great Britain. British Defense Minister Says Putin Has “Little Human Complex”.

Russia has invited the British ambassador to Moscow to send a strong protest against “offensive” statements by British officials over alleged threats to use Russia’s nuclear weapons. Reuters. London’s defense minister said in an interview that Vladimir Putin suffers from a “small human complex.”

Russia’s Foreign Ministry said it condemned Ambassador Deborah Bronnert for “truly rude statements by British leaders to Russia, its president, officials, but also to the Russian people,” according to Reuters.

The ministry issued a memorandum to the ambassador saying, “The offensive words of the British authorities are unacceptable. In a polite society, such statements are excused.

The Russian ministry also says that Russia told the ambassador that it objects to British reports of “deliberate misinformation, especially about Russia” and the threat of nuclear weapons use.

The British Foreign Office has yet to respond to Russia’s protest.

British Defense Minister Ben Wallace said in a radio interview this week that Russian President Vladimir Putin has a “little man complex” and that Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova is “like a comedian – she makes the same statement every week, threatening everyone with a nuclear bomb.”

Also, this week, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that Vladimir Putin would not have invaded Ukraine if he had been a woman, and that Boris was a “perfect example of toxic masculinity”.

In response, the Kremlin leader pointed to former British leader Margaret Thatcher’s decision to send troops to the Falkland Islands in 1982, provoking war with Argentina.
