House of the Dragon’s viral VFX bug will be patched and sent to HBO streaming platforms later this week

Three years after the now infamous Starbucks Cup incident in the final season of Game of Thrones, the previous series House of the Dragon has an unfortunate gaffe, just three episodes in it.

Towards the end of Episode Three – Second of His Name – many fans noticed that Paddy Considine was still wearing a green glove to hide two missing fingers from his character King Viserys Targaryen.

Pictures of the Green Glove went viral on social media after Sunday’s episode, with HBO . saying The Hollywood Reporter The episode will be patched as the new release arrives on streaming platforms this week.

The moment occurs at the beginning of a new scene in the 45th minute of the episode, where Viserys hands a scroll bar to Ser Addam (Oscar Salem), telling him to “hurry up” and hand it to Prince Daemon (Matt Smith) as an elf.

While the scene is somewhat trivial in the grand scheme of the episode, the digital effects artists failed to remove Visery’s pinky and pinky fingers, which were covering them in green so that VFX artists could remove them in post-production.

However, that didn’t happen, and social media fans like Sarah Capps noted, sharing a photo on Twitter on Sunday night clearly showing the green cover.

Capps said in her tweet, which has garnered more than 1,000 likes.

The incident was reminiscent of the Starbucks cup that was clearly seen in the dinner scene during the fourth episode of Game of Thrones Season 8.

Even scrutiny at the moment led House of the Dragon series creator/creator Ryan Condall to make sure they had a “very heavy watchdog group,” even joking, “There was a lot of Starbucks chase going on,” during filming.
