“I’m almost home. I’ll be back soon”, was the message Lucrecia Nadal sent to her mother moments before the tragic accident that killed her and three other teenagers. The tragedy took place in the commune of Pitonto in the province of Bari in Italy.

A 16-year-old girl never went home to her mother after the car she was traveling in crashed into a car last week.

The young woman was in the car with her friends Floriana Fallagara, 20, Tommaso Ricci, 23, and Alessandro Viesti, 24. ilmattino.it. None of the four survived.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident. It is not yet known whether the driver of one of the two cars lost control or the dangerous overtaking caused the violent impact.

The horrific accident happened after 10pm.A car carrying four friends collided head-on with another car on provincial road 231 between Modugno and Pitonto in Bari province. As a result, four youths died on the spot, while the passenger and driver of the second car involved in the accident were injured and taken to hospital.

Lucrecia Nadal was the youngest of the four victims, 16 and a student.

Many condolences from those who knew the young man, and more, have filled social networks in recent days. “I’ve grown up with Isiah since third grade, the girl’s classmate writes. She wanted to be a criminologist or a soldier. I miss her so much.” “She had a lot of ambition and strength that adults don’t have. She was always smiling and you rarely saw her cry,” says a friend of the girl.

“There is no death, there is change. I miss you so much, my sister. I will carry you in my heart forever. You will be my guardian angel from heaven,” was the farewell message of the young woman’s brother.
