Joe Biden’s reaction when a journalist told him that 70% of Americans thought he was too old to run

The topic of the age of US President Joe Biden, who recently announced his candidacy for a second term, is being hotly debated by Americans. A reporter asked Biden on Wednesday what he says to Americans who say he’s too old.

“You’ve said questions about your age are fair and your answer is always ‘look at me,’ but the country is also looking at recent polls that show 70 percent of Americans think you should no longer be running for office . . . What do you answer them?”, Joe Biden asked a journalist at a White House press conference with his South Korean counterpart Yoon Suk-yeol.

80-year-old Joe Biden’s first reaction was laughter, then he said, “I feel great!”

“I’m excited about that opportunity,” Joe Biden added. “What happens in the next two, three, four years will determine what the next decade will look like,” said the head of the Washington administration.

Asked about Donald Trump, 76, President Biden said: “I know him well and I know the danger he represents to our democracy.”

“I’ve been through it all before,” he insisted.
