Headquartered in Silicon Valley, Inflection aims to develop artificial intelligence software products that make it easier for humans to communicate with computers.
When the company was launched, the only three team members announced were Solomon, Hoffman, and former DeepMind researcher Karen Simonyan. However, others have now joined the congregation.
Heinrich Kuttler left the role of director of research engineering at Meta AI in London this month to become a member of the founding team at Inflection, where he works on the technical side of the business, according to his LinkedIn page. he is One of the many who left Meta since CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a hub for the so-called metaverse.
Elsewhere, Joe Fenton left his role as senior product manager at Google in February to become a member of the founding team at Inflection AI, where he works on the product side of the company.
Kuttler and Fenton, who used to work at DeepMind with Solomon, did not immediately respond to CNBC’s request for comment. Reflection declined to comment. Meta and Google did not immediately respond to CNBC’s request for comment.
Researchers and engineers who land AI jobs at DeepMind, Google, and Meta tend to make great resumes. Fenton, for example, holds a first degree in physics from the University of Warwick in England, while Kotler studied theoretical and mathematical physics at leading universities in Germany.
Inflection is the first company Hoffmann has co-founded since then Sell Linkedin to Microsoft for $26.2 billion in 2016.
