Tom Hanks says he’s only made four “very good” movies

Although he has starred in at least 85 films throughout his illustrious career, Tom Hanks believes that only four of those films are “pretty good.”

The two-time Academy Award winner, 66, is considered one of Hollywood’s greatest actors, but he insists that only a few of the films he’s made in the past 30 years are really good.

The actor made a revelation for People While Promote his first novel The movie “Making Another Masterpiece” is scheduled for release in May 2023.

“No one knows how a movie is made – although everyone thinks they do,” he told the outlet.

“I’ve made a lot of movies, and four of them are pretty good, I think, and I’m still amazed at how the movies come together. From the flicker of an idea to a picture flickering on the screen, the whole process is a miracle.”

Hanks did not reveal which of the four films he was referring to.

The actor first appeared on the scene in the 80s, when he got roles in “Splash!” and “The Burbs” and “Big” – for which he received an Academy Award nomination.

But his life was changed forever after he won his first Academy Award in 1994 for “Philadelphia.” He received another Oscar the following year for his role in Forrest Gump.

He was nominated an additional three times in subsequent years.

Other notable credits of the actor include “Toy Story”, “You Have Got Mail”, “Catch Me If You Can”, “The Green Mile”, “Saving Private Ryan”, “Cast Away” and “Road To Perdition.”
