The Russian Defense Ministry on Wednesday condemned the attack by a Ukrainian drone on the Russian spy ship “Ivan Harz” in Turkey’s exclusive economic zone.

“Today, at 05:30 Moscow time (02:30 GMT), the Armed Forces of Ukraine made an unsuccessful attempt to attack the Black Sea Navy ship “Ivan Hurs” with three unmanned speedboats guarding the Turk Stream and the Blue Gas Pipelines Stream,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said. According to Wednesday’s press release, EFE and Agerpres agencies report.
According to a military statement, the attack took place “in the exclusive economic zone of the Republic of Turkey”.
“All enemy boats were destroyed by the weapons systems of the Russian ship 140 kilometers northeast of the Bosphorus Strait,” he added.
Russia said the spy ship “continues to fulfill its established tasks”.
“Following the terrorist attack on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines on September 26, 2022, the Russian Armed Forces are carrying out operations to protect this type of infrastructure,” the Russian military command added.
