If you want to feel old, look no further than this “jeopardy!” The “Old Soul” hobby of the rider.
Millennial, Gen X, and Baby Boomer fans got a huge shock when Gen Z contestant Audrey Satchivi admitted on air that she enjoys collecting “vintage” items like DVDs, CDs, and records.
You know, the things that can be displayed in a museum in an era dominated by digital broadcasting.
Sachvi said in a clip from the episode that he posted online New York Post Wednesday. “I’ve been collecting some kind of old stuff now. I’ve been collecting records and CDs and DVDs. I just got a new DVD, which I’m really excited about, but I miss my childhood a little bit I guess.”
Comments came through Tuesday’s episode of High School Reunion Championship Hosted by Mayim Bialik. Satchivi previously made “Jeopardy!” Semifinalist as a high school student and currently studying Clinical Psychology and Spanish Linguistics at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
“Danger!” Fans took to Twitter to express their shock at how the popular items that once dominated their lives are now considered “outdated.”
“The college contestant on Jeopardy said yesterday that she loves collecting old things like DVDs and I think that’s the first time I’ve heard someone say that,” @tweet books. “Just as last March was the first time I heard someone use the term ‘middle-aged millennials’”
“I know I’m old, but if they still have DVDs at Redbox (the video rental company), they can’t be outdated,” @tweet books.
