Drew Barrymore responds to Hugh Grant calling his vocals “terrible”

Drew Barrymore is unfazed by Hugh Grant’s outburst to offend all of Hollywood.

After making a few headlines for remarks he made at the 2023 Academy Awards, Grant poked fun at former co-star Barrymore’s singing during the ceremony. Wired interview alongside fellow “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez.

During the interview, Grant, 62, was answering “the most searched questions on the web” and was asked if he actually sang in the 2007 rom-com “Music and Lyrics.”

The British actor admitted that he does sing, but he’s “incredibly auto-tuned. Actually, it’s not true. I’m auto-tuned a little bit, but not as much.”

He went on to throw Barrymore, 48, who starred opposite him in the movie, under the bus, calling her singing skills “awful.”

“Drew Barrymore was with me in that movie and I don’t think she would mind if I said her singing was awful. I’ve heard dogs bark better than she sings,” Grant admitted.

He added, “But… once they tuned her in, she sounded better than me, because she’s got the heart and the voice and the rock ‘n’ roll. While I sounded like Julie Andrews and I was meant to be kind of rock ‘n’ roll too.”
