Paul Rudd says he felt out of place during his appearance on the latest episode of Friends

Paul Rudd spoke about appearing in Friends during his appearance on Heart Breakfast last week.

The 53-year-old artist discussed his time on the show and expressed that he found the work on the final episode particularly interesting.

The actor, whose twin was recently discovered, appeared as Mike Hannigan during the final two seasons of the series.

Rudd began by mentioning that, unlike the show’s longtime staff, he had only appeared on the show for its last two seasons.

“The whole thing was a little surreal, I have to say, to be a part of because I really came through at the end,” he said.

The Anchorman cast member also expressed that he felt as though he was intruding on the cast’s final goodbye.

“I never knew I would be in such a number,” he said [episodes] as I was. But it also felt strange. I was on that last episode, and I just thought, “I shouldn’t be here. I’m getting a front row seat to things I’m not supposed to see.”

Rudd has humorously stated that while the show’s main cast was broken up around the show’s conclusion, he didn’t have the same emotional response.

“They were all crying,” he recalls, “it was all emotional, and I was like, ‘Wow! “

The performer noted that although he was grateful for his time on Friends, he didn’t feel the same way the show’s stars did when its finale aired.

“I felt so privileged,” he said, “but I was also like, ‘I just, I don’t know. I just want to sit here, not get in the way. “

Rudd is portrayed by Mike Hannigan on the long-running comedy show, on which he made his first appearance in its ninth season.

The performer stayed with the program until its end, which occurred at the end of its ninth season.

However, the actor expressed his excitement about being involved in the project due to its cultural significance.

“There’s an interesting feeling to be part of something that has this kind of profound effect on pop culture,” he said.
