Putin convenes the Security Council in Moscow

Russian President Vladimir Putin convened the Russian Security Council on Friday to discuss the situation of the military campaign in Ukraine, while NATO and the countries of the Contact Group for Ukraine are discussing military aid to Kiev at the US Ramstein base in Germany, EFE reported.

“During this meeting, there was an exchange of views regarding special military operations. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu informed participants of his visit to the operation’s headquarters earlier in the week,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, without elaborating.

Peskov said Vladimir Putin informed Security Council members about his recent phone conversations with foreign leaders.

He also said that “current issues on the social and economic agenda were discussed”.

At the same time, Ukrainska Pravda reports that Pantir-S1 anti-aircraft missile systems have been installed not only in official buildings in Moscow, but also near President Vladimir Putin’s residence in Novo-Okaryovo, a suburb of the Russian capital.

Such a structure was found 10 km from the official residence of the Russian leader outside Moscow, according to the mentioned publication.

On Thursday evening, according to the independent Russian news site Meduza, video recordings of air defense systems on the roofs of buildings and places in Moscow began to appear on social media networks.

There are at least five known locations where such systems are housed, with a facility near the residence of the Russian president.

Russian Telegram channels and Western experts on OSINT (open source intelligence – intelligence from open sources) published images of the building of the Russian Ministry of Defense, while the Panţîr-S1 system was installed on the roof.

In addition, images of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems installed in the area of ​​the Losiny Ostrov National Park and on the grounds of the Timiryachev Agricultural Academy in Moscow appeared on social networks, according to EFE, citing Agerpres.

Hundreds of kilometers away, a contact group for Ukraine with Kiev’s Western allies gathered at the US base in Ramstein, Germany, on Friday to focus on a cabinet meeting, including a request for more military support for the country against Russia. German Panther tanks.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov and counterparts from Germany, Great Britain, Poland and other countries are participating in this meeting.
