The Oklahoma Sooners are once again on top.
The Sooners defeated the Texas Longhorns 8-4 in Game 2 of the Women’s College World Series, winning their fourth straight national championship.
Oklahoma now has eight national titles in softball, tied with the Arizona Wildcats for second most of any program, according to ESPN Stats & Information. The Sooners are the first program to win four consecutive softball national championships.
With Oklahoma down 3-2 in the fourth inning, the Sooners responded with three runs in the same inning to regain the lead for good.
