Will and Jada’s outing comes just a few weeks after Will made headlines to break a long silence and speak publicly about the slap, which occurred after Chris made a joke about Jada’s shaved head, in Youtube video. He apologized to Chris and his family, in the clip, and answered some of the most frequently asked questions about the accident, which he called a “mistake.” He also admitted that he was working on learning and healing from her the whole situation.

“[I] He’s spent the past three months replaying and understanding the nuances and intricacies of what happened in that moment. “I’m not going to try to unpack it all now,” Will said in the video. “But I can tell you all, no part of me thinks this was the right way to act in that moment. No part of me thinks this is the best way to deal with feeling disrespected or insulted.”

“Disappointing people is my central trauma,” he further explained. “I hate when I let people down. It hurts me psychologically and emotionally when I know I haven’t lived up to people’s image and impressions of me. I deeply regret and try to be remorseful without being ashamed of myself. I am human. And I made a mistake. I try not to think of myself as A piece of this kind.”
